Welcome to the Continuing Education Course Accreditation Process (CECAP) centre.
CECAP is responsible for accrediting educational programs that meet the Continuing Education (CE) requirements set by the Investment Industry Regulatory Organizational of Canada (IIROC).
The IIROC continuing education (CE) program is based upon a 3 year cycle requiring a total of 42 hours of CE over the cycle (30 hours in professional development and 12 hours in compliance). Cycle 6 began on January 1, 2015 and extends to December 31, 2017.
CECAP has been retained by IIROC to assess courses (submitted by education providers) and make recommendations to IIROC on the courses’ suitability for continuing education credits.
Once the program is approved by IIROC, CECAP posts the accredited courses on its website, allowing IIROC member firms and approved persons to choose educational programs that are deemed to satisfy the CE criteria for a specific number of CE hours.
CECAP is administered by Moody’s Analytics Global Education (Canada) Inc.
